Turn away the obvious bots
Bot filtering blocks clearly automated traffic at the edge before it reaches your container. It is analytics hygiene rather than a security control, but it keeps a lot of noise out of your reports.

Hide your tracking from blockers
The request proxy disguises the outgoing tracking URLs and ships them bundled with your container, so blockers cannot match them by path.

Give every hit its context
Request Enricher adds the visitor's country, time zone, network, device, browser and a bot flag to every request your server container receives, ready to read in server GTM with a Request Header variable. Detailed location, including the IP address, stays off until you explicitly opt in. It needs no Better Loader.

Serve Google's tags from your own site
Google Tag Gateway loads GTM and the Google tag from a path on your own website instead of googletagmanager.com, and the Google tag sends its Google Ads pings through it too, so blockers that follow DNS records cannot tell them from your site. You switch it on in your own Cloudflare account or CDN. We give you a path uBlock Origin does not block and check that the gateway answers, again every six hours. With Better Loader your snippet stays, and if the gateway fails, Better Loader loads GTM itself. Without it, you get a snippet to paste.
